Twilight Moms
Posted on Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 at 8:43 pmI think the picture says it all. Really. You women have husbands!!! And children!!! And, by the way, Edward is not hot. He’s funny looking. What’s the other guy’s name? James? Jacob? I think it’s Jacob. I don’t even know what he looks like, but I’m sure he’s not hot either. Now go home to your husbands and tell them that you love them more than Edward. Or Jacob, if that’s even his name.

I think that’s totally true! Double-standard I say. And you’re right, Edward is funny looking.
Amen Amen Amen!!! I have friends who just drool over the men/boys in Twilight. Seriously, one lady in our ward says that she just wants to claw the television whenever she watches Edward in Twilight….and she’s watched it over 25 times….That’s just the first movie. If my husband was gaga over any movie star like that, it would make me so insecure as a spouse.
Twilight is really getting old. I am so ready for the whole phase to be over. Great post Kierst!
heh heh.
Amen! I always think it’s weird when married women gush over these teenage boys. It’s dark and disturbing. The only way I can handle watching these movies is with my sisters and mom in a big cringe-fest.
Amen Sista!
Thank you! I don’t get the whole stupid Twilight craze anyway!! It’s probably like the fakest looking movies ever!! And the caption on that pic says it all!!
I don’t think you even need me to tell you that I agree with you. I think it’s all just so over the top ridiculous!
So a couple of things. First, you’re totally right, Edward is not hot. I have a personal rule that I can’t ever watch a movie based on a book without reading the book first. All the ladies here seemed so hyped about the stupid movies I got the kindle version of the books just out of curiosity. Pleasantly surprised. She’s an excellent writer and I normally HATE romance. Second, I rented the first 2 movies for like a dollar each and thought it was such a waste of my $2. I wondered how it was possible that those movies were so popular yet the dialogue and acting so second-rate. You would think that with all the money they raked in they could afford a good script writer and a much better digital effects contract. And Robert Pattinson? I mean he’s ok but my goodness, I would NOT be reading the books again with him in my head. He really ruins it. Ok, I’ll shut up now. I should probably write my own blog post about it huh?
THANK YOU. PLEASE, women, check into reality!!!
