Almost There
Posted on Thursday, January 14th, 2010 at 11:37 pmI’m sorry about the lack of posts lately. I know that all of you are sitting on the edge of your seat, just waiting for another post from me. Well, today is your lucky day!
I think the last three months have probably been the most stressful of my life, with all of the escrow madness and then trying to get into the house and make it a home. We’re not quite there yet, but it gets closer every day. Let me give you a rundown of the things we have done and the things we have yet to do. (By we I mean mostly Taylor and lots of other help we had from family). Oh, and for those of you who would like to stop by and see us and our place, we would love to see you too. We miss our friends. But give us another week. And just for fun, here’s a cute picture of the kids driving the cart at Lowe’s today.
Done:
scraped and re-textured ceilings
painted all ceilings and walls
painted kitchen cabinets
painted and installed new base boards
painted vents
added ceiling fans and new light fixtures

find Christmas gifts for Taylor’s grandparents
send my brother and sister-in-law their Christmas gifts (isn’t it still December?)
never buy a fixer-upper again

and how was your birthday? Sorry I missed it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BFF!
My to do list is about that long too and I’m not even moving!! Good luck getting everything done.
It’s amazing how much you have done! Stinks that your floor and fridge got scratched. But you had to break it in sometime.
At least with buying this fixer upper, you sure learned how to do a lot.
Very proud Sis! And waaay cute pic of the kids. I love how Ashton totally looks like he’s really driving. Love you!
I was gonna say the same thing Britt. I love Ashton in the pic. He looks like he’s cruisin. Like he’s been drivin his whole life. Love it!!
So I have to say that the picture is such a “typical” driving picture. The guy is driving and looks very serious, the girl is just riding and goofing off!
