Posted on Thursday, November 26th, 2009 at 10:28 pmHappy Thanksgiving! I hope everybody had a wonderful day. I sure did. We spent the day with family, eating fabulous food. My favorite were the pies. I helped make them all and I’ll have to say that they turned out fantastically. My favorite this year was the key lime. I’m sure I’ll be making that again. Soooo easy and soooo yummy!

Brooklyn (London's 2nd cousin) and London with the finished thankful turkey
As our thankful month has progressed, London and I made a turkey to help us remember the things we’re thankful for. She loves having a little craft to do every day. We made the turkey, and every day we added a feather, listing the things of the day that we’re thankful for. It was a fun activity for us both and I think we might have to make it a tradition in our family, although I don’t know how creative I’ll be in a few years with letters like X and Z. Today London is thankful for zebras. I’m sure she’s more thankful for the zoo but she thought of zebra first. I’m thankful for zzzzzzs. You know, the ones that come out of your mouth when you sleep. I’m especially thankful that I’ll be able to catch some of those tomorrow night. We left the kiddos with Granny and Papa tonight. We’ll meet up with them on Saturday to get them back. But for now, I’m pretty excited to have some time without them. I’m pretty sure I’m going to get a lot of packing done tomorrow. And a lot of shopping. Maybe I’ll just pack up my shopping. Speaking of which, I’ll be catching those zzzzzs tomorrow night. Tonight I’ll be shopping. Toys R Us opens at midnight, you know. I know I’m crazy, but I want that wagon and I would buy it on line right now but the dang thing costs 12 bucks to ship! The things I do for my kids! I’m off to prepare for the midnight madness!
I would have totally gone to Toys-R-us with you if I was there!
