Thankful Month

Mindy (who I stole that quote from) had this great idea to make November “gratitude month.”  Of course I could never come up with such a great idea on my own, so I stole it.  And I’m going to do it.  But I’ll call it “thankful month.”  Then Mindy can at least think I’m a little creative.  Also, about a month ago I was tagged by another Mindy to write ten things that make me happy.  So this is what I’m doing instead.  I think it’s close enough.  I hope the Mindys don’t mind!  Feel free to join me!  Every day of the month (until Thanksgiving because it’s on the 27th) I’m going to write a new thing I’m thankful for, starting with a different letter of the alphabet.  See?  Isn’t Mindy a genius?  Today, of course, is the letter A.

Anesthesia.  Honestly, I don’t know how women do without it.  With a baby on the way, I have started thinking about what giving birth will be like, again.  I remember when I was in labor, telling Taylor that we weren’t going to have any more kids.  I’m pretty sure I’ve said that since then as well, but that’s beside the point.  I just couldn’t imagine going through that pain again.  Then the anesthesiologist came in and gave me an epidural.  My life changed at that point.  Really.  I’m a wimp.  I’m not usually into pumping my body full of medicine but I was so grateful for that epidural.  And I’ll be using that wonderful technology again when I go into labor.  Hopefully I’ll get it sooner this time around!
